There was sunshine all morning so I checked out the route of the eight mile walk I’m leading in two weeks’ time. The photo is of the place where we’ll stop for our morning coffee break. It is by Forked Pond near Ockley Common.
The morning route is straightforward but the afternoon part needs more research. I don’t want to risk leading everyone into a bog or up to a deer-proof fence. The morning section goes through the southern part of Witley Common, along the eastern edge of Thursley National Nature Reserve and Ockley Common and through Rodborough Common. In the afternoon the route goes through Milford and Witley Commons.
