An army of women (twenty-two, accompanied by four men) met at Watts Gallery in Compton for a repeat of the figure-of-eight walk held on February 4. This time the weather was better. There was sunshine all day; overnight frost gradually thawed as the temperature slowly increased. The crocuses and snowdrops noted on the walk two weeks ago were still in flower. Now, on sunny banks, lesser celandines started to flower.
Ten left at lunchtime and another two joined us for the afternoon walk.
