Puttenham Common circular

Hogs in a field

An unusual sight

The weather had changed. It was a cold day. None of the twenty who arrived at Puttenham Common Upper car park for the five mile walk were keen to linger.

The route took us past Lydling Farm, Mitchen Hall Plantation, Gatwick, Cutmill, General’s Pond, Long Bottom and then south back to the car park. Most of the paths were fairly dry. Sections with deep mud could be avoided by short detours.

Through hedge on a byway we spotted something interesting under a tree.
