Devil’s Punch Bowl viewpoint

There was a clear blue sky on yesterday’s eight mile walk from Thursley. The route went to the Devil’s Punch Bowl via Gibbet Hill with a stop for lunch at the NT café in Hindhead. The return was via Hankley Common, Houndown and Dye House. A notable feature, apart from the sunshine, was the gorse; it was in flower and looked good.

Eleven were on the walk. Most of those who would have joined it were on the other event, the three day stay in Rye.
