The weather was better than that of yesterday. There was no rain, less wind and more sun. Eighteen met at the car park opposite The White Horse in Hascombe for the 5½ mile walk. The leader took us up the hill to the top on a zig-zag route before branching off to Creek Copse and Nore Hanger. We returned to Hascombe on a footpath to the north of the hill. As we reached the pond in Hascombe a family of geese climbed out onto the bank.
