Today was the last of our annual three one-day trips by coach. By 07.30 we were all on board the coach, which collected us from four stops between Haslemere and Godalming, and on our way towards Oxford.
Twenty-three went on the ten mile walk from Minster Lovell to Woodstock via Crawley, Hailey, North Leigh, East End, Coombe and Blenheim Park. Thirteen went on the five mile walk which started from North Leigh. Sixteen went to Blenheim Park and spent the day there. We all ended up in Woodstock in time for tea and cake before boarding the coach for the return journey.
No one got lost but one person slipped and fell over and broke her left wrist. She was taken by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital and, four hours later, was back with the group with her arm in plaster and in a sling.
