Footpaths were dry and dusty for this morning’s four mile walk. There was no mud although there was one flood which Thames Water was dealing with. Twenty-two arrived for the walk which started from the car park on Church Lane.

We headed downhill, crossed the A283 and walked past the Chichester Hall over the recreation ground to a footpath that took us under the railway line to Water Lane. Here we continued on a bridleway by Sweetwater Pond, turned right at Buss’s Common and joined the Greensand Way heading west. We followed this to Sandhills then branched north on a bridleway that led to Church Lane where we turned right and headed back to the car park.
