It was another cold day. However, this was preferable to rain. One section of a footpath that was inches deep in mud three days ago had dried remarkably.

Twenty-six gathered in the Crown Court car park in Godalming for the morning’s six mile walk. We headed south through Holloway Hill, past Ladywell Convent, across Tuesley Farm, over Station Lane, up and over Potter’s Hill where we turned west towards Water Lane. Here we turned left and walked along the road to a lane that took us to Great Enton. We continued to Enton Mill, turned right at the Social Club and headed back to Godalming via Milford station, the back of the new development at Milford Hospital and a short section of Tuesley Lane before retracing our steps past Ladywell Convent and through Holloway Hill to the car park.
