Brook circular

There was another short hailstorm today but, fortunately, it was long after we’d finished this morning’s five mile walk.

We (26) met in Brook. The route took us through Uplands Park past the ponds. On one of the ponds were two black swans; between them were two small pale grey balls of fluffy feathers—their cygnets. From Uplands Park we turned right on Beech Hill, took a bridleway in Bowlhead Green, turned right at Rutton Hill Road, walked along the road to a footpath on the right, followed this past The Soaks, turned left at a bridleway, branched right on a footpath and joined the Greensand Way. We turned east and continued on the GSW back to Brook.
