Puttenham circular

Twenty-five turned up for today’s 12 mile walk which started from Puttenham Common lower car park. Footpaths which had been muddy a few weeks ago had dried and were now were easy to walk on. Even the footpath near Charterhouse in Milton Wood, notorious for mud, posed little problem.

The route went across Puttenham Common, past Lydling Farm, through Shackleford, under the A3, alongside Milton Wood, under the railway line and past the Phillips’ Memorial to Godalming town centre. Here we stopped for lunch.

We returned to the car park via Westbrook, Halfway Lane, Eashing, Peper Harow and Rhodsal Manor.
