Godalming & Haslemere Ramblers

40th anniversary celebration

Today we held three walks (11, 9 and 4½ miles) which ended in Haslemere in time for a tea party at the museum at 3.30pm. Thanks to the hard work of the social committee and the good weather the event was a success.

The two longer walks followed the route of the Four Stations Way, a route devised by the group for the year 2000. This starts from Godalmimg train station, ends at Haslemere station, and passes Milford and Witley stations. The route is 11½ miles and is mostly on footpaths and bridleways.

The route described from Haslemere to Godalming was revised and reprinted as an A4 laminated card (folded in half) in 2014. Details are on the G&H R website.
