There was no rain and no horseflies on this morning’s five mile walk. Boots sodden after Wednesday’s wet walk had only just dried out.
Nineteen arrived for the start at the car park at the end of the village. The leader knew the area well and took us round and over Blackheath Forest on paths that most of us would be unable to find again. In spite of the deluge two days ago most paths were dry; the rest were damp. As usual there was much chat; some of it was about the result of the R word (referendum).
