Paths were so dry on the five mile walk this morning that boots and legs became coated in dust.
Twenty arrived for the start of the walk in the car park on Hankley Common. Another two joined them shortly after the coffee break; they’d relied on their sat-nav and the postcode and ended up in the wrong car park. They’d wrongly assumed that a postcode gives a precise location. A grid reference does this; a postcode covers an area. They hadn’t discovered Streetmap and so were unaware of its usefulness.
