Hascombe circular

Twenty-one arrived for this morning’s five mile walk. It was another hot and sunny day and likely to be the last hot day this year. Paths were dry, and likely to be their driest this year. Heavy rain is forecast for tonight.

We set off from the car park opposite the White Horse in Hascombe and walked around Hascombe Hill to the viewing point where we stopped for refreshment. From here we continued to Creek Copse, turned right towards Nore, took a bridleway north to a footpath on the left, followed this west to the Greensand Way and walked back to the pub where some stayed for lunch.

By the side of the footpath approaching the GSW were blue-flowered plants, nettle leaved bellflower.
