Walking Matters

It was another clear, sunny, frosty morning—perfect for this morning’s five mile walk. We met at the car park on Lea Coach Road off the A286. There were 23 names in the register book. The backmarker counted the walkers as they set off and discovered there were 24. This was useful to know because a missing person would have gone undetected.

We headed east, crossed the A286, walked on Mare Hill, crossed a road to a footpath that took us to Parsonage Farm and Banacle Common, turned west, joined the Greensand Way and continued on this to French Lane where we turned north. In ¾ mile we turned right on a bridleway, passed Lake Cottages, turned right and continued east on the bridleway back to Lea Coach Road and our car park.
