Today’s 8½ mile walk was a repeat of the one a week ago. Twenty-four turned up at the start. There were black clouds as we set off but, fortunately, they soon passed and there were sunny periods for the rest of the day. Parts of the route were mildly muddier than last week but none were problematic. A large solitary sheep in a small field by the footpath at Hilltop Farm looked quizzically at us last week as we walked past. It stood by the fence and looked at us in the same way today.
