Witley & Hambledon

There were 27 on yesterday’s five mile walk. The temperature was lower than that of the day before but it was still pleasantly mild. Mud had started to dry in places so the going was good. Our leader took us via Sweetwater Pond and the Greensand Way to Hambledon where we stopped at the church for refreshment (an important part of our walks).

After this we continued to Hydon’s Ball then headed south to join the bridleway that went west past Horsehatches and across a golf course to Water Lane. Here we turned left to a bridleway on the right that went through Great Enton and under the railway line to a footpath on the left that took us to the A283 back in Witley.
