Puttenham northwards

There was an unusual sight near the end of this morning’s 5½ mile walk—a seemingly never-ending line of old tractors. They were part of the Spring Vintage Tractor Road Run of the Central Southern Vintage Agricultural Club. They’d set off from The Rural Life Centre near Tilford. We saw them in Puttenham joining the B3000 from Seale Lane (with noise, smoke and smell). The hot sunny weather was ideal for the participants because the drivers and passengers were exposed to the elements. No doubt the occupants of modern vehicles stuck behind them were less pleased.

We (24) met in Puttenham, headed north on the B3000 on the Fox Way to Flexford. Here we turned east on a footpath, passed West Flexford Farm, turned NE on a footpath to The Folly and Bushy Hill, turned south, crossed West Flexford Lane and continued to a lane on the right that took us west to pass Wanborough Manor and Westwood Lane. Here we turned left (south) and retraced our steps back to Puttenham.
